    What KnR does

Kulturnetzwerk.Ruhr connects people, projects and cultural professionals across the Ruhr region. Through our three cultural platforms, we make events, cultural venues and the people behind them visible.

We aim to encourage encounters, exchange, development and collaboration. A dedicated association is currently being established.

    Public Benefit

Our work brings together art & culture, education, and democracy & cultural diversity. Our focus is on visibility, encounters, participation, exchange and learning with and from one another.

Artistic, cultural and creative expression needs space to develop authentically. For us, this freedom is rooted in the democratic principles and the rule of law of our country.

    Cultural Portal

KulturNetzwerk.Ruhr vernetzt auf seinen drei Kulturportalen Menschen, Projekte und Kulturschaffende.

Three independent websites together form our cultural portal:

    KulturKalender.Ruhr, KulturOrte.Ruhr and KulturLeute.de.

They show what is happening, where culture takes place and who shapes it. By connecting them, events, places and people become visible beyond city boundaries.

Alongside the cultural portal, we are developing workshops, advice and opportunities for conversation. The focus is on practical support, exchange of experience and learning together.

Our first offers include website and media topics as well as the workshop “Inner Images of Security and Belonging”.

    Networking

Networking begins with contact. We want to connect artists, cultural professionals, cultural venues, associations, initiatives and other interested people across city and project boundaries.

We welcome shared ideas, cooperation, mutual support and new opportunities for encounters, exchange and cultural collaboration.
